Most homeware is sold with adjectives. Luxurious. Artisanal. Curated. Words that survive translation into any product at any price, and tell you almost nothing about what you're actually buying.

VOLKE is a small British homeware brand, and the range is deliberately tight — long-staple cotton bedding, muslin blankets woven in fine layers, lighting and living pieces chosen for how they're made rather than how they photograph. If it wouldn't go in our own home, it doesn't go in the range.
We say what things are made of
On every product page, in plain English. Where a top is marble-effect rather than marble, we say marble-effect. Where a fabric is a blend rather than pure cotton, we say blend. It costs us the occasional sale and saves everyone the disappointment.
We price against the piece, not the name
Premium homeware usually carries a premium for the label as much as for the thing itself. We'd rather sell more at a fair price than fewer at a showroom one.
We keep the range small on purpose
A tight range is easier to stand behind than a large one. Everything here has been chosen by the same eye, which is why it sits together in a room.
