Materials
We'd rather tell you exactly what something is made of than dress it up.
In the bedroom. Long-staple brushed cotton in the bedding, muslin cotton woven in fine layers for the blankets, and memory foam in the pillows. Where something is a blend rather than pure cotton, we say so.
Living and lighting. MDF and particle board with painted or veneered finishes, velvet and bouclé upholstery, solid wood where we've used it, and glass and brass in the lighting.
Outdoors. Powder-coated steel, aluminium and galvanised iron, chosen for rust resistance. Weather-tough cushions in polyester or olefin, and tempered safety-glass tops.
Where a top is marble-effect or wood-effect rather than solid stone or timber, we say so — on the product page, every time. No surprises when the box arrives.
